Fulton-Jenkinson Family Group Photo, July 4, 1907

Legend of group photo taken July 4, 1907 at a reunion celebrating the 50th Wedding Anniversary of William Fulton 1833-1909 and Elizabeth Jenkinson of Waukegan, ILL.    I have a scanned copy of an original photo that was kindly given to me by a Jenkinson cousin Susie Jenkinson Hatfield of Salina, Kansas.  Another Jenkinson cousin Phil Smith of Lake County, ILL., also has an original of the photo and provided much of the legend from notes he had from relatives.  The photo was taken in front of the Pillifant home in Waukegan, ILL.  The house was still there in July 2006 and looked almost exactly the same from the side view that was used in the photo.  The house is at 1727 Washington Street in Waukegan, ILL. (Streets were renumbered in Waukegan in 1922 and prior to that the address was 1521 W. Washington St.) 

In the photo there are 70 people and one dog.   The legend below provides names for all but one adult and 3 of the young girls seated on the ground.  All the people in the photo are either descended from or married to descendents of John Jenkinson 1793-1877 and Ellen Short Jenkinson 1812-1914 and about half the people in the photo are descendents or married to descendents of  William Fulton and his wife Elizabeth Jenkinson daughter of John and Ellen.   I have made a couple of minor corrections, added my Grandfather and his three siblings, and added some additional information. 17, 18, 19, 20 are blank in old notes.   I believe one of them, likely #20, is Geraldine M. Fulton, b: Feb. 17, 1902 – d: Jan. 14, 1968, daughter of William Thomas and Barbara Robling Fulton.   My best guess on who the other little girls are would be that one is Leona Pearl Heydecker, b: March 20, 1903, daughter of Roy and Cora Pillifant Heydecker.   They Heydecker’s lived in Waukegan, Leona is alive in 1910 census and her sister Mildred is listed as being there.  Roy and Cora had two older daughters Mabel b: 1897 and Ruth b: 1898, but they are not with the family in either 1900 or 1910 census and therefore I suspect they died as infants.  Other candidates would be the daughters of James Albert Fulton, Elizabeth b: 1898 and Clara “Carrie” born 1903.   Did they make the trip from Iowa with their Father and Grandparents William and Elizabeth Jenkinson Fulton?   If so, where is James Albert Fulton’s son Frank born 1900?.
