Nellie Elizabeth Fulton was born in Waukegan, ILL., on August 31, 1865 and baptized at Christ Episcopal Church in Waukegan on April 1, 1866.  Nellie married Fred Shober at Christ Church in Waukegan on September 24, 1892.  Fred was a mail carrier in Waukegan for many years.  She was a prominent member of Christ Church as organist and vocal soloist as well as teaching music.  Nellie lived her entire life in Waukegan where she died on February 2, 1933. Her husband Fred was a mail carrier and real estate man in Waukegan. Fred was born December 24, 1866 in Fremont Township, Lake County, Illinois. Fred moved from Waukegan to Austin, Illinois about 1941 and died there on December 11, 1949. His obituary is on page 13 of the Waukegan News/Sun Dec. 12, 1949. Nellie and Fred are buried in Warren Cemetery in Lake County, Ill. All six of Nellie and Fred's children were living at the time of Fred's death in 1949. A reference is made to several Grandchildren.

Below is a 4 generation photo including Nellie and her eldest daugther Lois. To the left is Nellie's Mother Elizabeth Jenkinson Fulton 1838-1923 and to the right is Elizabeth's Mother, Nellie's Grandmother, Ellen Short Jenkinson 1812-1914.

Below is a photo of Nellie Elizabeth Fulton Shober taken probably in the late 1920's.

Below is the 1922 Waukegan High School Annual photo and entry for Nellie's youngest child, Ruth Shober.

I don't have a picture but Ruth's older sister Ethel M. Shober as delivering a Charge to Undergraduates address and listed as graduating 5th in her class maintaining over a 90% average throughout high school in the class of 1920. Ethel's 1920 graduating class also included her cousin Dorothy Edith Fulton, listed as having been class vice-president in 1919, daugther of Robert Croskey Fulton.
